Hello, I recently purchased a lenovo thinkpad e470 with inbuilt windows 10 pro. After few days of use and few updates the Primary function of function keys stopped working. The BIOS setting for primary function keys from f1 to f12 is enabled. I'm assuming it to be a issue with the Lenovo softwares such Lenovo settings and Lenovo Vantage which are not working and always ask for updating and once updated they ask to update more and end of not working anyway. I'm irritated by the fact that the keys of my new laptop aren't working. A quick help will be heartly appreciated.
things I Tried:
I wonder if it is an issues with windows 10 new update or with lenovo application.
please help, thank you!!

Hi Vijay. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.
Go here to update all drivers including the Hotkey Functions software: .https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/lap...
There are also newer BIOS, Chipset, Display, Audio, Power Management, and almost all other drivers, too. So compare them to those installed in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start Menu and download and install any newer ones.
I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.
hello SarahKong, Thank you for taking your time. I tried this but didn't really solve the problem yet. So, I'm guessing it is not a issue with the updates.
thank you.
This link i found on how to restore function keys on Lenovo devices.

If this doesn't work I would recommend blocking the update and then removing it until Microsoft releases a more stable update in the Spring.
First block it...

Then remove it.

When you are ready to install the update then follow this article that goes into how to prepare for a update.

Also doing a clean install as long as you have all your apps and data backed up is another solution.
