PCL XL Error after Windows 10 Update

I have an HP LaserJet Pro CM1415nfw printer.  It worked fine yesterday, but today when I try to print a PDF file all that is printing is the following:

PCL XL Error

Subsytem:       TEXT

Error:               InternalError 0x50

File Name:       cheettext.c

Line Number:  710

The only change from yesterday (1/1/18) to today is my computer installed the latest update to Windows 10.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks.

We appreciate the prompt response. The methods in the article provided has steps on how to run the printer troubleshooter. Were you able to find any error after running the troubleshooter?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you reinstall the printer to reset the connection between your PC and the device. To do this, you can follow the steps under Step: 2 Uninstall and reinstall your printer section provided on this support article. Click on the drop-down arrow to view the steps.

We're looking forward to your response.

    Version 1709 - OS Build 16299.125

It's not just with PDF files - I've tried printing from Excel and Word, & even tried printing a test page from the HP Troubleshooter.  All attempts have produced the same message.  I checked with the HP website & reinstalled the latest version of the printer software & drivers, but it didn't fix anything.

    Hi,

Failure to print PDF files properly may indicate a possible driver or printer configuration error. To effectively assist you with your concern, we'd like to ask the following:

    • Which Windows build version is running on your device? Type winver in the search box and press Enter to help you identify.
    • Have you tried printing documents saved on a different file format? If yes, did you get the same print result?

Meanwhile, you can try the methods provided on this support article on how to fix printer problems by ensuring that your printer driver and settings is configured properly.

We'll appreciate if you can send us an update.
