I have an office jet pro 8610 printer

We have to keep unplugging the printer to get it to come back online.  I am sure there is an easy fix for this.  Been watching some tutorial videos on YouTube and can't seem to figure it out.  There is some suggestions that it says to do but one I get to a certain area under printer properties the button is locked where I can't get into the next step.  Can you help?

Thanks,

Greg

Run the Printer Troubleshooter - http://aka.ms/diag_printer10

Since you are using an HP Printer, use the HP Print and Scan Doctor:

HP Print and Scan Doctor - HP Support

    https://support.hp.com/ph-en/document/c02073861

    Uninstall and Reinstall the Printer

    A. Uninstall the Printer

Windows Key+X > Apps and Features / Programs and Features

    Select your printer.

    Select Uninstall.

Windows key+R, type control, hit Enter

    Open Devices and Printers.

In the Devices and Printers window look for your Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose Delete or Remove Device

Windows Key+R, type Cmd, hit Enter

    Type printui.exe /s > OK.

    Click on Drivers tab.

Look for Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.

    Select OK.

Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.

    Close Devices and Printers.

    Install the Driver

Go to the Printer manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers

    Reinstall the Printer driver

    Reboot the computer

Usually you need to make sure the printer is connected over USB first before you can connect it over wireless. Thats how I setup my wireless printer.

ok I have reinstalled the driver software and when it trys to connect wireless it searches for about 5 minutes and it comes back with an unsuccessful.  I have redone this several times and tried other options.  Still can't get it printer connected wireless from my laptop.
