You mean the old XP/2003 utility?
Where is Applocale?
Hello,
I need Applocale Utility, but I can't find it anywhere on Microsoft. Where did it go? Everytime I find a link it directs me to an error page. I'm running Windows 8.1, will I encounter any compatibility issue?
Thanks in advance.

2016-09-17T18:16:33+00:00 This is bs, why did Microsoft remove the download? the only downloads left are shifty sites known to bundle trojans and malware with every installer.
Before that I installed it on my win 7 pc without a single problem. And it worked like a charm, allowing me to install programs that are not localizable cause the developers never thought of it. Which happens really often with tiny indie developers and other software not from big companies.
And now it's impossible to do that.
Thanks Microsoft!

This might not be believable for normal guys. But keep in mind that Windows prospered because it offered everything imaginable.
So BRING BACK APP LOCALE!!!

2016-10-12T16:12:39+00:00 actually there is an alternative solution to this, as follows: just go to :
- Control Panel, Change date, time, or number formats
- As the Region dialog appears, choose Administrative and click Change system locale
- Select a new system locale and tap OK.
Specifically in our case this will change the default locale to Chinese, which affects programs which do not specify a locale as the case with this old Chinese software.
Apart from that, run as administrator to install etc..
This isn't ideal as it is system wide default rather than an application compatibility setting but should work for the scenario in question.
