Hi - go to control Panel > User Accounts (change Account type) and it should be easy for you. Hoping this helps
How to switch to Administrator from a local user account
After the last anniversary update (I now am on Windows 10 version 1709), I had to create a local user account to avoid constantly inputting my password when waking my laptop from sleep.
Today I wanted to install an antivirus program only to find out that I can't switch back to Administrator! I'm stuck as a local user and there is absolutely no access to the Administrator account (not even an option).
I've tried logging out/switching users, but the only option is my local account.
The run commands "netplwiz" doesn't work on this version, so that's not an option anymore.
Anyone have any ideas???

2018-02-16T16:29:42+00:00 Unfortunately that's not an option I have.
What I see:
Control panel -> Accounts -> (I only see my local account)
I don't get any options to change type, to another user, admin, etc.
I have a feeling this is might require a pretty techy answer...beyond my normal abilities!

2018-02-16T17:27:33+00:00 I just got off the phone with Microsoft (Holland).
Looks like it's time for a compete re-install of Windows for me, groan!
Oh well, a fresh start is always nice.

2018-02-16T16:57:34+00:00 Will you post a snip of what you see please? Honestly - it's so easy that even I can do it ;o)!
Try clicking on your account again, then click on your 'logo' - that should give you the option to change it.
Also, go to Settings > Accounts > Your info. What does that show? Again, a snip would be useful
