Need Driver for HP 952C Printer

Split from this thread.

Hi. I have a somewhat similar problem. Connecting an older HP 952C printer to my PC (the printer is a workhorse!) Windows recognizes printer, but states "No Driver Found".  The printer is not available under HP printers for manually adding. Went to HP site and they don't have drivers, they state the Windows drivers should work.

I have tried different USB ports, rebooting, manual installing, etc.

I am not sure how I can get/find drivers for this printer to work on Windows 7.

    When HP says:

Installing Your Printer Driver Using the Windows Built-in Solution

Install the HP Printer Driver and Software provided within your operating system.

the first thing you should do is click the "Learn more" link, which will get you to this page: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01796879

Did you follow the directions there?

When you ran the "Add a printer Wizard"

    • what happened at Step 4 (see below)?
    • what happened at Step 5 (see below)?

As you can see from the screenshot below (from a Windows 7 Pro x64 system), a driver for your Deskjet 650C is available.
