Hi Nicole, there is no standard application for opening a .bak file

a .bak file is a generic backup, it could be a text file, it could be an image file, in fact it could be any type of file, therefore there is no standard application for opening it . . .

Do you know what program created the file, if you do, open the .bak file with that program, if you do not know, right click the .bak file, choose Open with - Notepad
