Windows 10 Installation Getting error 0x80070570

Split from this thread.

Since absolutely no solutions were found anywhere I decided to buy a brand new rig so I purchased a corsair pc case and a motherboard bundle.

So now I have intel core i7_7700 quad core processor and corsair 8gb DDR4 single channel vengeance LPX memory which came pre installed on an ASUS ROG STRIX Z270F Motherboard.

Having set this all up I obviously needed an OS and purchased Windows 10, which surprisingly came on a USB stick.

Now comes the problem (surprise, surprise AGAIN with a Microsoft product).

During the installation I get an error 0x80070570 23% into the second phase.

I realise this is an extremely common problem that seems to have no real solution, so giving the above information are you able to help me out?  Remember I am not able to do anything untill the OS has been installed and I don't see why I should need to download something I have just paid £100 for.

REALLY!  What kind of BS is that?  The installer is an extra!  So as I built the PC myself, which means none of the monopolised pre-installed, forced OS.  How are you supposed to download ANOTHER installer? You seriously expect people to just use a public PC or someone elses not to mention their own time to download another!!! UNBELIEVABLY POOR SERVICE. There is no justification for anything you are saying.

Downloaded ISO onto my own USB and installation went smoothly.  Doesn't change the fact that I was sold an official Microsoft dud product though.  Basically paid £100 for a card with a product key on it, totally unacceptable in my opinion and strongly feel that Microsoft should be compensating a lot of people who have encountered the same problems and wasted valuable time running memory checks and disk checks when the problem all along is faulty Microsoft products.

    Hi Michael,

The error code 0x80070570 means ERROR_FILE_CORRUPT. It is possible that the installation files are being corrupted while Windows 10 is installing.

There is also a possibility that the USB flash drive installer that you're using is having an issue. For us to isolate the issue, kindly create a new Windows 10 installer (installation/bootable media). You will need to have another working computer and a USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of space so that you can create the installer. Once you have these devices, visit this

website to know how to crate an installer of Windows 10.

When installing an operating system, its data is being store in the hard drive. It can be that your hard drive is corrupted and it is also corrupting the installation files of Windows 10. Just to clarify, are you using a new hard drive? Also, did you format the hard drive before installing Windows 10?

There may also be an issue with the memory and that can be the reason why you're encountering the error code. We recommend running the Memory Diagnostic Tool from the Windows Recovery page of the Windows 10's installer. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Load the installer of Windows 10.
    2. Choose your language, and then click Next.
    3. On the lower left corner, click Repair your computer.
    4. Select Troubleshoot, and then choose Advanced options.
    5. Click Command Prompt.
    6. Type mdsched.exe, and then press Enter.
    7. Choose Restart now and check for problems (recommended).
    8. Take note of the result of the tool after it finish running.

Let us know how it goes.

We understand that we need the installer to work properly especially if we do not have an extra device to create an installation media. The reason why we advised you to create an installation media using the USB flash drive that came with the license key is for us to know if the issue is with the flash drive or with the ISO file. Either way, if the USB flash drive that came with the license key is not working, you can always have it replaced on the store where you bought Windows 10.

    Regards.

We're glad that you're able to install Windows 10 on your computer.

Please take note that when you purchase a Windows operating system, you are buying the license to use Windows. The installer that came with the license is an extra especially with Windows 10. Windows 10's installation file can be download in the Microsoft website.

Since you're able to install Windows 10 using the new installation media, it means that the installer that came with the license key may be having an issue. The issue may be with the USB flash drive or with the installation file. If you want still want to isolate which one has an issue, you can use the USB flash drive that came with the license key to create an installation media. Once you've created the installation media, use it to install Windows 10. If you're able to install Windows 10, it means that the original installation file stored in the USB flash drive that came with the license key is corrupted. If you're unable to install Windows 10 even if you replaced the installation file in the USB flash drive, it means that the USB flash drive is corrupted.

    Thanks.
