How to turn off windows defender? I have McAfee installed, or are they compatible running together?

    Hi Boyd,

    Windows Defender is a built-in security program included in Windows 10, therefore, it cannot be uninstalled. However, if it detects a different anti-virus installed or running on your device, it will automatically disable itself from running.

    Real-time protection should be turned off automatically. Defender is not completely disabled any longer to allow manual scanning.
