i can't play sea of thieves pc

when i open sea of thieves and click continue i get this mesage

"C hange your settings to play

you can't play multiplayer games because of how your acount is setup.

Go to your privacy & online safety on Xbox.com to change this"

i then click close and get this message

"Sorry you are not curently allowed to join any sessions. Please

check your account settings and try again.(Avacadobeard)

i therefore went to https://account.xbox.com/en-US/Settings

without knowing what setting i had to change, online is already allowed so there was no obvious option.

i just allowed everything and clicked save, it did no difference when i opened the game.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game 3 times without any success.

When playing on an Xbox One console, you need an Xbox Live Gold membership to play online. Please check your subscription settings and purchase a Gold membership as needed.

This doesn't make any sense since i'm playing the game on Windows 10. And Xbox live gold is not required on windows 10.

    I would suggest that you should raise a support ticked to seaofthieves also for this problem. So, you will be supported both by Windows community and seaofthieves also.
