VIA HD Audio Driver Problem Uninstalling/Installing

Good evening. I am certainly in need of some help as the error prompt suggested I should do.

So, the problem is on Operating System: Windows 10 concerning the Installation of VIA HD Audio driver.

So after I clean installed the driver and rebooted my computer, an error message appeared telling me that "VIA HD Audio doesn't support this OS"

So, I thought that I might have downloaded a wrong, 32-bit version of the driver and I uninstalled the Via HD Audio Codec from my computer. After that I tried to Install the software again and I got the following error

Sorry, some importand files of this package are missed. Please download the package again to contact with the service provider. Place press OK to terminate the setup wizard.

So. I checked my Control Panel once more and I saw that VIA Platform Manager was still there so I clicked on it to see what is this about. Turned out it was the XHCI Controller Driver, so just to check out I tried to Uninstall it. So, as I thought I got the sameerror message! So its a lock-up situation. I cannot install the driver and as it suggested MSDN would help me resolve the issue.

Awaiting for your Reply!

Thanks for getting back to us.

The VIA HD Audio drivers is not compatible with Windows 10. We suggest you to uninstall the anything related to Audio and let Windows automatically detect the driver that should be installed. See screenshot below:

After uninstalling from the Device Manager, reboot your PC and let Windows install the drivers automatically.

If the issue still persists, it would be best that you contact your device manufacturer and follow their instructions.

Feel free to post back should you need further assistance.

I ran the troubleshooter as instructed above. I selected the Audio Sources I wanted to be Troubleshoot:

    1. My Logitech G430 Headset
    2. My 2.1 Sound System

The troubleshooter did not mention any problem concerning my VIA HD Audio Driver. Still the problem persists. The Installation of the VIA HD Audio Driver which I of course downloaded from my motherboard's manufacturer website.

As far for the external link you provided me (Update drivers in Windows 10) It doesn't help at all since my VIA HD Audio Driver does not show up in my Device Manager ![](https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/e4b44645-0dfc-4d55-9539-00ffe650641b?platform=QnA
