This issue could occur due to outdated or incompatible drivers. To further assist you, please answer the following:
- Have you tried connecting a different mouse to your laptop?
- Have you tried connecting the mouse to a different laptop or PC?
Meanwhile, we suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. Here are the steps:
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard, and type Control Panel in the Search bar.
- Go to Troubleshooting, and press Enter on your keyboard.
- Go to View All, and press Enter again.
- Go to Hardware and Devices, and run the troubleshooter.
If issue persists, we recommend you to download the latest driver from the manufacturer’s website, and install it in compatibility mode. Here are the steps:
- Download the setup files for the driver, and save it on your local disk.
- Right-click on the setup file of the driver, and select
Properties.
- Select the Compatibility tab.
- Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode, and select operating system from the drop down list.
- Let the driver install, and check if the mouse will work properly.
