So, I just recently got a used Red Octane guitar, which is used on Guitar Hero 2. There's an application called Clone Hero that I want to use it for, so I bought a PS2-to-computer adapter, which I hooked up to my Windows 10 Acer computer and my new guitar.
However, it didn't work.
Originally, I thought it just didn't realize I plugged the USB into the computer. However, after some experimenting and looking up tips on how to solve this, I realized that it only recognizes it if you put it in directly after restarting my computer.
BUT, after a minute or two, it seems to 'eject' it and stop saying it's connected (it plays the USB disconnecting sound). If I plug it back in after that, it won't even say it's being plugged in anymore, until I restart the computer and try it again.
Just to reiterate, my Red Octane Guitar hero controller is showing up on my Windows 10 Acer computer for only a minute or two after restarting, and then it promptly disconnects itself. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the PS2-to-computer adapter, or
a problem with the computer itself, but I've run the Hardware Troubleshooter a few times, and it always says there's no problem.
I'm not sure what the problem is, but I haven't seen anything like this yet online, so I'm open to experimenting.
