Bluetooth Apt-X not as priority profile for Apt-X devices in Windows 10

Helloo,

As my laptop with Intel Wireless-AC 9260 with BT 5.0, and Windows 10 Build 1709

What i know Windows 10 natively support Apt-X, as Bluetooth information, Apt-X Audio resolution can up to 48khz 16bit, but my laptop the highest resolution just 44.1khz 16bit, it seem like not using Apt-X codec.

I assume that is no need  install additional driver/application for Apt-X because Microsoft Windows 10 is natively support Apt-X. i knew that Intel is own the AptX license and Microsoft maybe the same

I was try fresh reinstall Windows 10, update all the hotfix and drivers to latest version, but still the same

I also contacted Intel support, the final suggestion from Intel is check with Microsoft the reason is Windows 10 is natively support Apt-X.

Kindly advice  how to enable Apt-X without 3rd-party application because we dont know how frequent the laptop manufacturer will update the drivers to compatible with Windows 10 and Intel Wireless-Ac 9260.

Thanks so much

I wish I had an answer for you.  But I would like to point out that aptx is not an Intel technology, it is in fact developed by Qualcomm.

Are you sure you understand the question? The question is why default drivers provided my microsoft via automatic driver update for intel 9260 doesn't support AptX. However, to be honest, I suppose that nobody cares. For example, Dell ships custom drivers for Intel 8260 with AptX support. You can find them here: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=100J9&fileId=3546946146&lwp=rt

There is no drivers available for Intel 9260 with AptX support. Who must develop them? Intel doesn't ship drivers with AptX support. Dell doesn't ship drivers for Intel 9260. Nobody cares, as I said.

Returning to your question, how do you expect us to "troubleshoot" that problem?

    Hello Wilson,

There are two components needed for the AptX codec to be enabled. One would be the Bluetooth driver for the device that you are using must supports AptX from your device manufacturer and the other is the Bluetooth audio receiver supports the AptX codec.

If your devices met the above components, you should be able to use your devices via the AptX codec.

We recommend that you get in touch with your device manufacturers for the necessary drivers that you need to install in order to enable the mentioned codec.

Feel free to post back if you have other questions.
