    Hi Robert,

ESENT is being used as a Desktop Search. It is a built-in database engine. Aside from updating to Fall Creators Update, we'd like to know if you have made any recent changes to your device before getting this error. Have you tried disabling or uninstalling it in Settings?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Hi Ronalene,

How does one disable or uninstall ESENT? It seems to be a part of the OS and can't find anywhere in settings to explicitly handle it. In fact, I only see it mentioned in the Event Viewer, Task Manager doesn't seem to have anything on it.

Is there a utility from Microsoft to change these settings? Or a registry value that can be changed?

    Thanks,

    -Jairus
