keyboard stuck in function mode

When I turned my nextbook on I couldn't log in with my password, then I realized that it is stuck in function mode. I have rebooted but that didn't work, I have held the fn key and that didn't work either. this has happened a couple of times before but I cant remember what I did to fix it. please help

    Hi Kaly, try this keyboard shortcut to reset your keyboard:

    Fn + NumLock

    it's the Fn key. if I don't hold in the fn key my name kaly appears like this...2a3y. I restarted and was able to enter my password ok, but now its not working. the Fn key is stuck on

    Can we see a picture? Are you referring to Safe Mode or Repair Mode?

    I am not aware of a function mode, are you referring to Safe Mode?

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: msconfig

    Hit Enter

    Go to the Boot Tab

    Make sure Safe Boot is unchecked

    Click Apply then OK

    Restart if prompted.
