++ the future of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones ++

++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    I agree. I've been a Microsoft customer and fan for decades. Was disappointed when the Nokia 1020 and tablet Nokia 2520 were abandoned in Windows 8.1. That camera in the 1020 was awesome. Even used by a National Geographic photographer. I sent a letter in 2016 to Satya Nadella regarding a low offer to trade in for the Lumia 950XL Memorial Weekend. Did not receive a reply from him or a staff member. Now the Lumia 950 is being abandoned but the Windows 10 Mobile OS is still being supported. However, companies are abandoning it and their apps will no longer work. Adobe, Fandango, Imdb, Wells Fargo, Geico, McDonalds, etc. Sad, perhaps if Microsoft assured them it is still being supported they would not abandon.

    Even the my AT&T app does not work and I bought the phone from them! Ridiculous. Thoughts?//++:(

    ++ I think the new leadership failed to embrace the Lumia brand (it is a great brand & has been not cheap to aquire). They have still time, but the path is not promising at the moment. Added to the sad list, the official F1 app is not working anymore on Windows 10 (including PCs). Hope that there will be millions of fans who will resist & not abandon the Lumia ship // Maybe it will turn to a submarine. //

    ++ the Windows 10 experience has tried to be a sort of evergreen tree & for 5 year the users can say that they have a fresh OS (it is true that great apps are disappearing & many updates have caused issues that can be counted as downgrades ++ on the long run the OS feels improved & better & I hope that every new version will solve existing problems & not causes too many new problems)

    ++ the Surface Duo will be a premium Microsoft android device (a pragmatic move by the leadership to seize market share in the foldable device category) ++ maybe it will be less expensive than the Galaxy Fold, but probably not affordable for the great majority of customers

    ++ Windows 10x has no live tiles & for me this is an important downgrade ++ Windows 10 mobile can be an acceptable choice in 2020 with officially supported great productivity apps, many supported games, top skype, email, calendar services & generally a smart OS that still keeps me motivated (still many social media options to be active) ++ for those who want or need all the customer apps that are ruling the market there are many android options (some brands have some limitations in particular countries, but maybe those concerns will be solved) ++ let the developers bring to action apps on Windows mobile devices ++ people like to have alternatives & to have choice & to choose (like in democracy to choose every year or every 2 years for something better) //
