Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 Driver...

I just purchased this keyboard.  The function keys and specialty keys don't seem to work on this keyboard.  I assumed I need to install the drivers (Windows 10 64-bit).  However, after the extraction process I get a dialog pop-up that says "Requested Operation Requires Elevation."

Any ideas on this one?

Thanks

Michael

That means you must be signed in as an Administrator. That keyboard requires downloading the MS Keyboard and mouse Center.

https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-us/downloads/mouse-keyboard-center  That will allow you to set up the special keys and customize settings.

KB and mouse Drivers are automatically installed in windows. Makes sense. If windows didn't install those automatically, how would you get the computer to work?

mlg63 - Thanks for the feedback.  I opened the executable in file explorer and right clicked "run as administrator" and that did the trick.  Thanks for your speedy instruction.
