Activating Windows XP Pro x64

I'm trying to activate Windows XP x64 Edition, and I keep getting an error using the online activator that says "We do not recognize this as a valid product." I spoke to a representative on the phone and they couldn't help me either.

I've never had any trouble activating any other XP version, but Microsoft seems to have forgotten this one exists.

    Hello!

I reformatted my desktop so I can donate it a local charity.  I used the old XP CD to format the desktop and install a fresh copy.  Unfortunately, I don't have the product key.  Can you please advise what I can do to get it to a functional desktop so I can donate?

    Thanks!

    Chetan

Microsoft is the one who say yay or nay for Activation, not us.

Microsoft still has this up online:

    How to activate Windows XP

    Cheers.

With OEM, it you have lost the Sticker; and if Retail if you have formatted the drive and don't have the Key, unfortunately nothing can be done.

The COA sticker, which has the Product Key on it, is either on the underside of the Laptop or in the Battery Compartment.

With a Desktop it is either on the side, rear or top of the Computer Case.
