Thank you for that information. Error 0x80004002 can occur if you're trying to delete saved links from certain websites which are most likely created without your knowledge. To address the issue, kindly follow the steps below:

Step 1 - Reset Internet Explorer settings:

    1. Press Windows+R.
    2. Enter inetcpl.cpl, and then click OK.
    3. Go to the Advanced tab.
    4. Click on Reset > Reset > Close.

Step 2 - Delete the file while your PC is in safe mode.

    1. Click Start, and then go to Settings.
    2. Go to Update & security > Recovery.
    3. Under Advanced startup, select Restart now.
    4. After your PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
    5. After your PC restarts, you'll see a list of options. Select 4 or F4 to start your PC in Safe Mode.

Let us know how it turns out.

    Hi impossible 1298,

This issue can be caused by various reasons. First, we need more information to further identify the cause. Kindly answer the following questions:

    • Does an error message come up when trying to delete the file?
    • Have you tried dragging the file to the Recycle Bin? How about if you right-click on the file, and then selecting Delete?

In the meantime, check Task Manager if the program that the file is associated with is still running, and if it is, end the task.

Your reply is most important for us to assist you accordingly.,
