I'm trying to do the upgrade, it states that I need to remove Nero Burning ROM myself as it isn't compatible with the upgrade, however this machine has never had Nero Burning ROM installed on it, in the chance the CDBurnerXP may have some similar flags, I deleted that yet I'm still told I need to uninstall the software I don't possess.....any ideas

Yep, told you in wasnt Nero. 🤓

And your probably right, in Windows 10.3, you will probably not be able to install it as you said some naughty things on the internet next....😮

Then in Windows 10.4 it will probably be, sorry Windows can not update as you dont have the same political motivations and ideology as us...🙃

And then in Windows 10.5 it will be sorry Windows can not update as you have familiy values and we dont like that. 😐

Whats next? Sorry Windows can not update to Windows 10.6 unless you give us another £100 and vote for who we say...🤐

Microsofts sales have been in decline for years, and with Political Correct crap like this its only going to get worse...

Tizen is coming on in leaps and bounds in comparison.

    Hi Davor,

Are you also having the same problem? What troubleshooting steps have you done so far to fix the issue?

Hope to hear from you soon.

I resolved this error by checking, defragging and optimising the drive, setting DEP to all programs, disconnecting all external drives etc and then installing from a USB stick. No Nero error.

I'm Greg, a volunteer and eight year Windows MVP who will try to help you.

This is one of the reasons most tech enthusiasts won't even run a Factory install, because even if you uninstall all the problematic crapware, it leaves tracks that cause endless issues. It must have been installed on there by a previous owner. That is one like Norton or MacAfee that you have to Clean install to drive a stake through it's heart.

What I would do is manually install Fall Creator Version 1709 by installing Media Creation Tool to Upgrade Now. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/m.... This the most stable method to upgrade to the new version (which you need anyway) and will bring you fully up to date with reinstalled Windows that often will solve any other problems you have.

You can use the same tool to download the ISO or create bootable media so you only need to do it once, and have the bootable media for repairs or possible Clean Install.

If problems persist go over this Checklist to optimize the install for upgrade: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

But remember that a factory or Upgrade install are inferior installs that most enthusiasts would never run in the first place because they'd expect endless issues. Most prefer to do the gold standard Clean install from this link which has had no reported issues: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I'll keep working with you until this is resolved.
