    Hi,

After several attempts to install new drivers, I went to D Link website.

I downloaded and installed last patch for KRACK security and success - this also fixed the Miracast problem.

For those that come across a situation like this, the check dxdiag thing doesnt work.

The way to check if you can use miracast is the following:

open command prompt and type "netsh wlan show drivers", check the bottom line for the details

"Wireless Display Supported: No (Graphics Driver: Yes, Wi-Fi Driver: No)"

    Hi,

Miracast is a standard for wireless connections from devices like laptops, tablets, etc., to external displays like TVs or monitors. If your computer supports the Miracast display; then, you will see an option as Add a wireless display. To check if Miracast is supported on your device, you may follow the steps below:

    1. Press Windows + R on your keyboard, and then type in dxdiag; then, hit Enter.
    2. Click the Save all Information button located at the bottom, and save the text file at the desired location.
    3. Open the text file and look for Miracast. Next to it will be the current availability status.

We look forward to your update.

We appreciate your response. Installing the latest drivers for your PC and the latest firmware for your wireless display or Miracast adapter may do the trick. To update firmware on your wireless display or adapter, go to the Support section of the manufacturer's website; then, search your specific device, and follow their instructions to download and install that firmware.

For more information with Miracast, you may check this article, and look under the "If you can’t add or connect to the wireless display" section.

We would appreciate it if you could get back to us and provide us your feedback.
