If you want to express your opinion to Microsoft use the Feedback Hub app in Start Menu where developers are tasked to process consumer feedback.   But Microsoft will not even see it here because this is a  tech forums where we are mostly volunteers trying to help solve your problems.

Again, I gave you the very best advice since you indicated your goal was to Clean Install but proceeding as you intended would not come close.  Many people don't know they can Clean Install Windows 10 upgrade, which is my specialty since I helped popularize the vastly superior Clean Install.

How you could take that best advice as me being a "scammer" and why you would say that to a Moderator in any forums is not a joke.  When would a scammer give free advice to follow the absolute best practice, along with a tutorial that if followed provides the a better install of WIndows than any amount of money can buy?  The value is at minimum $150 which is the least a store would charge.  But again, the install in that link is priceless because you couldn't  buy it for any price.

I am glad you got the easy solution for installing the drivers  after the unnecessary reinstall of WIndows 8.1.  Enjoy your Upgrade install.

Who do you think you're talking to?  I am a senior MVP who's helped several million consumers do Clean Installs since Windows 7 via my web tutorials without a single complaint.  In addition I've directly helped over 100,000 consumers in forums interactively and every one who worked with me got it fixed.

All of this is volunteer work on my part given to help others.

I was only trying to help you since you said you were doing a Clean Install and Upgrade at the same time which is not possible.  The inferior Upgrade cancels out the Clean Install benefits.

So in return for reaching out my hand to try to help you, you smack me in the face and call me a scammer?  Why exactly?  Because I gave you the absolute best thing you could do, by any standards?

If you're doing a Clean Install then follow these illustrated steps in this link which compile the best possible Clean Install of Windows which will stay that way as long as you stick with the tools and methods given, has zero reported problems, and is better than any amount of money could buy: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki....

Pay close attention to the section on drivers which lays it all out for you.

But you said you're Upgrading from Windows 8.1, so that is not even close to a Clean Install but is an inferior in-place Upgrade install. To do that you'd install Media Creation Tool and choose to Upgrade This PC Now: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/m...

But you'll have a much better install following the Clean Install tutorial above. It is a great learning experience that will make you the master of your PC because you will learn what works best and how to apply it with your own hands.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

Hi Jennifer, it is more efficient to upgrade to Windows 10, then install a full set of drivers since some Windows 8 drivers will not work in Windows 10 and they would need to be updated again
