Had a virus, I think I got infected through a Google Chrome extension, fully removed it, computer feels slower?

I used Malware-Bytes, SuperAntiSpyware and AwdCleaner did a quick scan and a full scan with all three and they detected Viruses but all three fully cleaned everything, every time I scan now it just says my system is good.

I keep checking Speccy and everything is still running smoothly and nothing is overheated.

When I do perfmon /report thought, which I've been doing multiple times it keeps saying "missing event logs, and I'm usually missing between 30-50%. It also says System Interrupts which is between 40000-60000 and the avg. is around 5000-7000. Every time I scan it's different but pretty similar to the high numbers.

When I try running a game for example, League Of Legends I'm only getting 50-70FPS and I have a 1080TI before this happened I'd usually get around 250fps, did the virus somehow mess up my hardware?

I've also ran cmd with scanning my two main drives with chkdsk, both said nothing was wrong but I scanned with chkdsk /f anyways and yeah nothing was wrong.

Any reasons why this could be happening?

I tried downloading a game yesterday and It would download and then stop for about 10 seconds then go to full speed and then stop again, and I'm sitting at 100mbps.

Thanks, also not sure if these relate but after this happened System service checks keep failing. These are what abnormally stopped. -NetMsmqActivator

-NetPipeActivator

-W3SVC

-WAS

Not sure if those have anything to do with each other, but my computers acting up and it would be nice to fix. Thanks, if you need any info let me know!

Thank you for the information. If you are still having the same issue after performing the troubleshooting steps provided above, and if you already tried to do a Clean Install on your computer, it’s possible that the issue is with the hardware.

To determine who is the manufacturer of your device, you can follow the steps below:

    1. Type dxdiag in the Search box beside the Start button, and hit Enter.
    2. It will give you the DirectX Diagnostic Tool window.
    3. Under the System tab, look for System Manufacturer and System Model fields. It should tell you who is your device manufacturer.

Feel free to reach out to us for further concerns.

It also keeps saying High rate of disk I/O something like "High rate of 28 split I/O per second was detected. This represents 58 percent of total I/O processes. Consider size of I/O processes compared to disk format size and defragment or reformat any disks with a high split I/O rate."

I'm trying to figure out what I'd need to replace, from what I listed do you think it's the Hard-drives?

I've done chkdsk under Command prompt and it says my disks are fine, I've also defgramented my disks to see if there's any issues but it also says they're fine.

Could you help me find my manufacturer so I can email them?

Thank you for updating us. Since you have already performed the troubleshooting steps provided above, what we can suggest now is for you to perform a Clean Install, and check if it helps. You can refer to this article on how to perform a clean install or reinstall of Windows 10.

If issue persists, we recommend you to contact your device manufacturer, and see if they can provide other troubleshooting steps because there’s a possibility that it is a hardware issue already.

Let us know how it goes.

Hey, so I did what you said and I'm pretty sure I'm still having issues.

Resource monitor says, Graphics, Disk, Memory, CPU, Gaming Graphics rating for the system is poor, which isn't true as I have pretty good gaming parts in my PC.

Also I'm still getting the high average interrupts/processor.

It says this machine has 8 processors and 3 network cards, total interrupts/sec on machine is 55000.

The average disk queue length is 10, and sometimes it changes between 1 and 30.

I did another dskchk and scanned for out of date hard drives, and also even did a virus check just in case but the issue still persists, I'm assuming something is wrong with Disk I/O?

I wanna figure out what's causing this so I can get a part to replace my PC, as my 1080ti shouldn't be having any issues with games.

    Is it my disks?

    Thanks

    Hi,

This issue could occur due to several reasons like corrupted/incompatible system files, outdated drivers, or third-party application conflicts. To eliminate software conflicts, we suggest you to perform a Clean Boot on your PC, and check if it helps. You can refer to this article: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
