Windows 10 - Gray x's on some desktop icons
Hi
I have Window 10 . All the folders and file are showing Gray 'x' on the icons . The file are opening properly and on problem with the file or folder , but its annoying to see Gray 'x' .
how to fix this issues.

2018-03-28T15:18:51+00:00 From what I can find it is most probably OneDrive which is doing this.
The other possibility is problems with the default app setting which opens the file.
If the x is only one files on the desktop then right click & choose refresh.
If in various folders all through your pc then check if OneDrive is set to sync files in those folders & disable sync to see if the xs disappear.

Often an anti virus’ backup software will place grey x on each icon which is excluded from the backup so check that, also check OneDrive to see if that has excluded them from backing up to there.

Does any one know how to remove it.
