It used to be under earlier versions of windows (98, etc) that you could put " *.doc " in the windows search box and it would find all of the word documents.  How do you find all of your word documents on windows 10?  The old way doesn't work.

    Hi danih, try this:

Go to This PC and go to C: or your respective drive letter.

In the Search box on the top right "Search Local Disk (C:)" (or something like that), type in "*.doc", this will search within the scope of the entire drive. Hope this helps.

    Hi,

I would like to suggest you one important thing, "No matter how you manage to get back the document, keep in mind that do not writes any new data in Windows 10 hard drive as soon as the file has died out from the computer screen".

I am sharing a very useful link, This includes methods to find word documents, it includes word (2013, 2007, 2003, 2010...) So whatever office you are using, I am hopeful that you will get a detailed solution in it.

Please let me know, if that helps.

    Kind Regards:
