What troubleshooting steps? I dont have even remotely the same problem. System or any app does not freeze nor becomes unresponsive.

    Regardless:

    1. Windows logo key + Ctrl + Shift + B. - screen goes black for 2 secs and beep is heard, yes. But the problem is not solved.
    2. It is not a laptop.

Check for updates says I am Up to date.

Hey, I have the same problem. Number of microsoft apps yields this error after todays update. (Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803).

And running the troubleshooter yields the same error after trying to purge store cache, as seen on the attached screen:

I also have this problem since the recent Windows Pro update to 1803 / 10.0.17134.48.

A number of MS apps fail to run when files are double-clicked, or the app is launched independently - these include: Photos, Video, Music and even Calculator. The files can be played by other applications.

    I have tried 'DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth' and 'sfc /scannow' - which both reported no errors.

    Hi Shahed,

It could be an issue with the application itself. May we know if you've tried to play videos from the internet? If no, you may do so. For the meantime, we suggest that you run the Windows and Apps Troubleshooter. If the issue persists, follow the steps provided on this link.
