How can I tell if my computer has Platform update for Windows 7?

    Yes, but how I can find out if a specific update, in this case the Platform update for Windows 7, has already been installed.  My update history only goes back as far as 2016.

    Hi Ali-Bertarian,

    To check if there are an important updates available for your device, kindly follow the steps below:

    1. Select the Start button.
    2. Click Control Panel on the right side.
    3. Go to System and Security.
    4. Open Windows Update.
    5. Click the Check for Updates button on the main screen.

    On the other hand, you can also manually install updates. Check this article for more information.

    Thanks for the clarification. I understand that only installed updates from 2016 until the present are visible in Update History. To address the issue, you need to reset your Windows Update components. Just download the file from this link, unzip it, then run the Reset Windows Update script.
