Typing Lag after recent update

Ever since I did the latest update for my computer (it's a Windows 10 PC) I've experienced massive lag when typing.

It's not a delay - the letters will not appear after the lag. Instead it will simply not register anything during it.

The lagging happens pretty much once per second, so it happens really frequently. This makes it so I can't type fast, or several of the letters will be missing. Just typing this post was terribly hard.

If I for example spam a letter it will come through, but within a second the lag will happen and even though I'm repeatedly pressing one of the keys the typing will just "stop" on screen for maybe half a second, and then it will come through again.

I have no idea why it's suddenly like this. I've never had this happen before and I've had the computer for several years, it's ridiculous.

And before you suggest: Yes, I've tried turning on and off the 'filter keys' thing. It did not help at all.

Thankful for the help.

    Dear Microsoft,

We are asking these questions because the pc's are not responding to requests regardless of how we do them. direct typing or other input. This all started after the Creators update and to date not one real answer except to point to other non Microsoft causes. Someone at Microsoft really needs to address this issue and stop hiding under their desk. Is Microsoft trying to push people to apple OS?

We need a fix and not endless suggestions that do not resolve the issue.

I work for a company with thousands of laptops and we are seeing the same issue. Only the people who were able to block the update are not having the problem.

    These are the issues

When you click on a dropdown you get a delay from 5 to 30 seconds before the window opens. When the window opens it takes a few more seconds to populate the listing.

When you go to the browser you get a delay opening.

When typing you get  a delayed response and end up having to edit or backspace to correct input.

Using Outlook for email will download new email only after 1 to 3 minutes delay. Computers not updated download new email in seconds. Yes Outlook is open listing previous emails downloaded. Yes Outlook is attempting to download but seems stalled.

I could go on but lets get a real solution and stop frustrating users with things that do not work.

Maybe do a update that reverts to an older version BEFORE the creators version.

It has nothing to do with sfc. It has everything to do with Microsoft junior removing or not adding a registry key.

    Here is the fix

I would like to confirm that after the creator update, it has seriously screwed up the on screen keyboard and pen interaction for me too. The keyboard lags when typing, randomly pops up new tabs when typing in browser, and there is a one pixel gap at the bottom when you hit the spacebar, it launches software from your taskbar. Also please fix the issue where the keyboard covers the screen where you type, it is impossible to blindly type what you cant see.

Microsoft, for future reference, when you release a horrible update like this please test it before you do. And when there are issues, please take it down right away so the rest of us dont get infected by it. I updated (1709) just a few weeks ago and it still does not work correctly. This was released months ago and clearly has severe issues. Get your act together and start delivering the customer experience we all need from you.

As an update to my previous post, I think I may have found the "problem".

My keyboard and mouse are Logitech Bluetooth and I had the receiver plugged into a USB port on my Monitormate monitor stand (which has a few USB ports for convenience).

I took the receiver out and plugged it into a USB port on the PC and have experiencedalmost no problems (well, there's one there).

But I'm thinking it might be a Bluetooth issue, since this is the only PC having this problem out of 6.

So, I thought I'd share, for what it's worth.

I confirm that is the Bluetooth driver, for me it worked with a disable / enable. After this the keyboard works ok. The issue is that you have do do this after each restart.
