What's error 0x8007267C?

Hi, all

I'd love to give my mom the best things life has to offer but the recent faults my PC is developing won't allow me.

4 days ago, I couldn't connect to the Internet -  no thanks to the airplane mode that won't turn off 😢.

Now, after trying every trick I read on Google, and the airplane mode was still stuck, I decided to reset my PC - NB: it runs on Windows 10.

Unfortunately, the reset didn't quite go through and now my PC is telling me to activate my Windows.

I'm not able to activate Windows 10 because of no network and the error code 0x8007267C is displaying.

Please help me with this.

Thanks.

    Hi Adeboye,

I'm an independent Microsoft advisor. Looking at the error code seems to be a DNS error. Let's try solving your issue by running a few commands on Powershell.

1- Open Powershell as admin, by pressing "Win Key + x" and selecting "Windows Powershell (admin).

2- Type the following command and press enter:

    ipconfig /flushdns

3- After that command type the following:

    ipconfig /release

4- After that other command run the command:

    ipconfig /renew

Let us know if that solved your issue, we are here to help you out. Kind regards.

    Hi, Richardo

Thanks for taking the time to provide help to my predicament.

As suggested, I tried pressing the windows key + x but it didn't bring up anything.

So, I pressed win key + r and typed powershell, and the Windows PowerShell came up with a blue background.

Now, I typed the flushdns code and it said 'Could not flush the DNS Resolver Cache: Function failed during execution.

The others complained of no adapter in state permissible for the operation.

Thanks once again for reaching out.

    A.

    Hey there, Adeboye

Welcome to the Microsoft Community forums.

This looks to be a corrupt file within Windows 10. On your device please can you right click onto start and select command prompt admin. Then type the following:

    sfc / scannow

You may be better installing a fresh copy of Windows 10 onto a USB drive. You can learn more with this article:

    Hope this helps,

    Regards,
