Opening Microsoft WORKS files in Windows 10

I recently upgraded to Windows 10.  A great many of my files were created using Microsoft WORKS 8.  With Microsoft OFFICE, I have been able to open many of these files, but not all....particularly those created using WORKS Spreadheet and/or Database.   Any suggestions?

See steps for converting Works files into a supported format:

    or

Download Microsoft Works 9 and install it on Windows 10:

You could try downloading Works 9 as it is more compatible than Works 8 with Windows 10.

Hi Michael, the most successful method I found for converting those files is using Open Office to open them and then save them in a Microsoft Office compatible format.

I know it is an inconvenience to have to install Open Office, but it does successfully open WORKS files . . .

My mistake, it appears you're looking for how to open works files in Office not works.

    Try to convert them:
