hey dude i just found the problem, what i had to do is change the display resolution ON THE GRAPHICS CARD ITSELF. if you use your graphics card to display like i do all i did was go into my control panel for the graphics card and change the resolution of the moniter down once, then revert it to its native resolution and poof working.
Extend Screens Showing "Input Not Supported" Problem
Hi everyone,
I have an old Acer monitor (With VGA input) that I've connected to my PC through an HDMI adapter. In my display settings, I have "Extend these screens" selected. I haven't adjusted the setup in a while, and everything's been working fine, but randomly one night when I went to plug in the monitor it started showing "Input Not Supported".
I've tried every possible resolution setting for the second screen, updating all my drivers, and restarting; all with the same result. I have a similar setup at work, (monitor with VGA input connected via HDMI adapter) and I have no problems with that monitor.
Interestingly enough, when I select "Duplicate these displays", the screen works as expected—however, when screens are extended, I get the "Input not supported" problem.
Anyone have any idea how I could get this fixed? Doesn't seem to be a hardware problem considering the screen works on "Duplicate these displays".
Thanks in advance,
- C

2018-01-08T05:50:55+00:00 Hi Reymichael,
I've double checked the drivers for all the monitors, as well as for the display adapters, with no luck. I have also tried setting different resolutions through the "display settings" menu with no success.
I also have not received any updates to my computer recently.
