My phone has suddenly gone blank although the icons for wifi, sim etc at the top of the screen are still showing. Have downloaded the recovery software onto my pc but when i link the phone up, the software can not locate the phone. How can i fix/restart the phone?

    Hello lingtsang,

We'd like to confirm if you were able to reset your phone using the Windows Device Recovery Tool. If not, have you tried using a different USB cable? You may try resetting your phone using the hardware button on your phone. Visit this link on how to and check the steps under "To reset an unresponsive phone".

Please be noted that it will delete all your data.

Let us know how it works out.

tried all the suggestions but could not get a response from the phone.   After connecting the phone to the PC, the PC just could not establish a connection even after several reboots of the phone but thanks anyway

Before using the windows device recovery tool you should try a soft reset by turning your phone on then press and hold the volume down and the power buttons until it vibrates then release them and it will restart failing that I would try a hard reset by going to the about setting and tap reset if that doesn't work when you connect your phone to your PC via a USB cable if it doesn't detect your phone you should see an option saying can't detect your phone click on that then find your phone model and start recovery
