I bought a newer windows 10 computer.  I copied my doc from older computer and pasted them into the newer computer.  I guess they are in wps form and won't open.  I was told to convert them into docs form.  I can't find a link that will do this and convert them into my computer.  Can someone help me?

Below are some of the options

    1. I think the safest and best option is to use OpenOffice which is free and opensource. This can open and convert into whatever format you want.

    1. Download converter from Graham Mayor's site who is a reputed Word expert.

    1. One option is to use online converter Zamzar. But they will be asking for your mail address. I don't know why. I leave it to your guess.

    1. Microsoft used to provide a utility called Microsoft Works 6-9 File Converter which MS has taken off now. But some of the software sites do offer a copy. If you need this, you can perform Bing search and take apprrpriate decision to download. (Downloading from the third party sites has their own risks)

Below is a link for a compatibility pack for wps forms. Give that a shot and let me know.

    Hope this helps.

I tried again.  On bottom right in screen of wordpad, I clicked on ALL documents.  Then, the docs showed up that I typed.  but, when it  came up it  was like this.

You should be able to open them in word.
So open word and go to where those files are and open them and word will convert them.
