We understand that you're getting a notification that your "Device charging slow" when using a compatible charger. Since you have already tried a soft reset, this may be due to the low power it's getting from the wall outlet. You can try to switch
to another wall outlet. Or, if you're using a detachable USB cable to charge your Lumia 435, your may try using other cable.
Alternatively, you can turn this notification to off by going to Settings >Devices >
USB, then put a check mark or turn the slider to Off under
Notify me if my mobile device is charging slowly over USB.

Hi, all power and sockets have been PAT tested just over a year ago and were OK . Already tried 4 other detachable usb cables and plugs. If I turn off "NOTIFY ME IF CHARGING IS SLOW" I wouldn't know if it was charging slow. Anyway I have been monitoring
and it was charging slow so carried out the following, soft reset again, turned off "device charging slowly" plugged phone charger in carried out "soft reset" again then turned "device charging slowly" back on, then unplugged charger and pulled it back in
again and touched wood it hasn't came back on so far. I did take it to a repair shop to replace the micro usb before all this and he didn't think it needed replacing, I think it does. Anyway next step will be to replace mirco usb charging port and see what
happens. Will let you know what happens next. Thanks for your reply.
