Microsoft wireless ergonomic 7000 keyboard

Inherited 7000 keyboard, mouse & dongle were not among items received. Need to find out how to get replacement, or compatible dongle, & a user manual and any software/drivers necessary. Don't know how to tell if keyboard is on or not. Installed batteries, light on keyboard came on for a few seconds, then shut off. Have tried a Bluetooth dongle I purchased to no avail. The seller said this would work with the keyboard, so far no such luck.

Computer is Dell XPS 8700, Win. 10 Home 64 Bit.

Any help greatly appreciated.   Phil

It's not a bluetooth device and it is useless without the receiver. Matching mouse does not have to be used with the kb so use any mouse wired or wireless. You should donate or recycle the keyboard. It is for older windows versions. No windows 10 drivers or software available. It will work as a basic KB if you can find the receiver but not well and with no added features. All keyboards are plug and play which means you can type on it.

Thanks for the reply, not what I wanted to hear. Will donate to someplace.
