Hi,

I am using mi Microsoft Surface Pro to connect to my Samsung Smart TV.

I changes source to Screen Mirroring on my Smart TV and clicked on connect on my Surface after which it displays my TV name.

When I click on the TV name, it shows connecting on both my TV and my Surface Pro but after some time it says "Couldn't Connect"

I use my TV to connect with my mobile phone with same option but its not working for Surface Pro.

How can I solve this issue ?

Thanks for the info! If you go into settings and then devices, is your TV listed there? Can you add it if not.

Just checking as well, but the TV and surface are connected to the same network correct? Same ghz? Some new routers come with 2.4 or 5ghz network options.

Hi Charlie, Thank you for your response.

The windows I am using is Windows 10 Pro version 1709. I believe I already have all the updates and I have been able to connect my surface pen and mobile phone via Bluetooth.

However, I am unable to transfer any file from/to from my phone.

    Will like to be guided.

    Hi Hali,

Is your surface pro running the latest version of Windows? 1709 w/ all patches?

Click start - type device manager - expand display, right click and update driver to make sure you have the latest driver.

Click start - type troubleshoot - see if you troubleshoot the connect app.

Let me know if any of these help and I’ll keep looking for other potential fixes!

Ps. Are you able to connect other devices to your surface via Bluetooth? Just curious.

Hmmm, ok, again in device manager. There should be a Microsoft wireless display adapter. Can we make sure that is up to date as well

Another thing to try. Firewall. Are you only using windows built in firewall, or another 3rd party as well?

I’d temporarily disable it and try to connect. If it works, then we just need to figure out an exception.

    Let me know!

Well that's quite a point, my Surface is connected on 5Ghz but my TV doesn't support 5ghz. However, I tried to connect the Surface on the same frequency and retried. Still same!

Besides, my TV is not listed in my connected device. Whenever I try to connect it displays my TV name and then doesn't get through.

    Appreciate your feedback!
