I know this question has been asked a million times before, but I don't know if laptop specifications matter.  I'm unable to connect to 5g wifi networks on my Toshiba Satellite P55-A notebook.  I have Windows 10 Home.

I've tried all the steps listed on the troubleshooting article, but I've had no success.  I've called my Internet service provider and my router's manufacturer, and they are unable to provide any solutions.

This issue started a few months ago, roughly coinciding with when I started having wifi speed issues on my other devices.  I've had no relief with the use of a WiFi extender either.
