Windows 10 Update KB2267602 Error

Yesterday evening I realized my computer wasn't up-to-date; I wanted to play Minecraft, but the latest version doesn't work because of it.
I need to mention, I'm really clueless when it comes to computers, but I tried my best.
Even if I don't succeed at updating it, I at least want to be able to play Minecraft. I feel like a successful update is only a dream at this point.

This only shows before I attempt to install it:
Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.343.25.0) - Error 0x80070643

After I attempt to install it, it says:
Feature update to Windows 10, version 20H2 - Error 0xc1900204

Edit: I restarted my PC, and says in addition (this happened after everything written below):
Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x80070003)

Here's what I did until now:

Of course, I restarted at first

I then tried to resolve the second error, I followed point 1, 2, 3, 6 of this article:
https://windowsreport.com/error-0xc1900204-windows-pc-fix/

  • Some Commands in the Command Prompt didn't work
  • I cannot find any manual download of this update on Microsoft’s Update Catalog either
  • I don't have much space on my Disk C, and even though I have my registry set to D, I cleaned a bit, and now I have around 6 GB free (not much, I know, but I don't think I can clean more than this, I don't have many things installed there, and other files make at most 100MB)
Edit: I cleared more than 20 GB, still doesn't work.

Only after I've done that I found the name of the first error.

I followed instructions from a reply to another question asked here, "StanKasper-4297 - Windows 10 Updates - KB2267602 Security Intelligence update Fails to Install", reply by SSengupta-4080, but it didn't work

Someone mentioned that pausing updates and resuming them worked, but it didn't for me, and now I'm writing this.

Edit: I wish I could say I was joking, I tried almost everything; everything I could understand how to do; and it still doesn't work. The only thing I can think of is reinstall windows now.

Additional information:

  • My internet is pretty slow
  • I have 8GB RAM, but I leave my browser with many tabs open while updating-- I want to do something while waiting
  • 346GB free in Disk D

    @Lazar Rayane
    Hi,
The error code means the update is not applicable possibly due to a 3rd party AV installed.
    Did you check that?

The fastest way to get the latest version is through Media creation tool or ISO file.
Please download Media Creation Tool from the link below and select Upgrade this PC at the first screen:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

This will save your files and apps while bringing you up to the latest version by the most stable method. It will also bring all of your Updates current and solve most problems since it reinstalls Windows.

Hope above information can help you.

Just had the same issue. Open task manager, Left click on the services tab then right click on wuauserv Windows Update and click restart. Just worked for me.

The problem is Error 0x80070643, its detecting a prior Antivirus app that may have been uninstalled but its still got its hooks into your OS.

In my case it was McAfee's that came preinstalled on my dellxps.

Solution was to go find the MCPR.EXE AV uninstaller for it on McAfee's website; run it, reboot and then do the update and it worked a treat.

You ONLY need the built-in MICROSOFT AV these days anyway IMO. You may need to run the uninstaller for your AV or wait a better update from M$ in a week or two if you cant or wont do this.

NOTE: I had already uninstalled it and all the apps it installs, alas somewhere in the OS bowls, M$ knew bits still lurked, undetected and installed... So at least this is now long gone ransomware!
