This may have been an issue with the driver itself. Have you tried updating the driver? To do so, please visit the device support website to download and install the latest version of the driver. If this doesn't resolve the issue, follow these steps instead:
- Right-click on the Start button, and select Device Manager.
- Collapse the Sound, video and game controllers, right-click on the audio driver, and select Properties.
- Select the Driver tab, and click Uninstall device.
- Restart your computer and Windows will automatically fetch the appropriate driver.
