My desktop icons have check marks and red x's

I just want to get rid of these check marks and x's.

    Hi delabad1 ,

    Those icon overlays are produced by OneDrive

    Open OneDrive settings and remove your Desktop folder from the folders being synced, that should remove those icon overlays . ..

    Hi delabad1, at the bottom right on your Taskbar, should be the OneDrive icon, from there you can access Sync settings . . .
