OneDrive Issue

My OneDrive stopped working recently. I am receiving the following message:

The procedure entry point could not be located in the Dynamic Link Library C:\Users\James\Appdata\Local\Microsoft\Onedrive\18.065.0329.0002\FileSyncClient.dll.

Does anyone know how to resolve this ?  I've tried system restore at various restore points and they ALL fail (useless service). I do have my own system backup, but did not yet attempt to use that as a potential resolution until I reached out to the community for suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

I resolved this issue by these steps:

    1- Go to C:\Users\UserName\Appdata\Local\Microsoft\Onedrive\18.xxx.xxx.xxxx

    Run OneDriveSetup.exe

2- after finish the process it's working with me.

I tried this and it fixed quickly with less worry about messing with the registry.  Thanks!

My case was desktop running Win10, Version 1803.

Yes, After unistall it use same version 8.091.0506.0007

After you uninstalled it Go to RegEdit on this path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OneDrive

You can remove all folders that include One Drive numeric version folders and from Account directory folders delete all folders there too then restart the PC and install One Drive again

Hey Jim. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

Uninstall OneDrive at Settings > Apps & Features > Microsoft OneDrive > Uninstall.

Then reinstall it from Microsoft Store: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/onedrive/9wzd...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

Lets try to completely uninstall OneDrive:

    1. Open Command Prompt in Administrator mode: Right-click on the Windows icon in the taskbar and select Command Prompt (Admin).
    2. Type in taskkill /f /im OneDrive.exe to terminate any OneDrive processes and hit Enter.

    Then type in either %SystemRoot%\System32\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall if you’re using 32-bit Windows 10 or %SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall if you’re using 64-bit Windows 10 and hit Enter.

After that restart the pc and install One Drive version 18.091.0506.0007
