Cannot Type into Address Bar for Google Chrome

I recently bought a new bluetooth keyboard and monitor and have connected it to my laptop.  However whenever I try to type into the address bar or the search bar in a new tab, the pull down screen appears as if you were to right click which prevents me from typing into the address/ search bar.  I am not sure if it has to do with the drivers I installed for the new devices, but I have not found another thread that pertains to a problem similar to what I am experiencing.  Any help would be appreciated.

I am running Windows 10 on an Alienware 17 R3 hooked up to a Dell S2417DG Monitor through an HDMI cable, along with a Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard K810.

if this is the case then i believe that there is problem with chrome instead of your new keyboard.

look for any extension that might be reason for this and personally i recommend you using Firefox.

Chrome is known for 'EATING UP YOUR RAM' and collecting user's information 'that too without taking permission from user'.

Check out the new Firefox: Firefox Quantum which has a really attractive User Interface, is 1/3rd the size of chrome and doesn't even get affected by adware as easily as chrome gets.

and here is a fun fact: in just two clicks you would be able to import all of your saved passwords, bookmarks and cookies(only if you want) from your chrome browser to your firefox.

so do check out Firefox quantum and if not, look for any "unrecognized" extension on your chrome.

Yes, this appears to only happen on chrome.  It's as if my left click is also bound to my right click if that makes any sense.

It only happens on chrome for some reason (no problem with internet explorer).  My keyboard works for everything else except for chrome.  To give a better picture, it's as if my left click is also bound to my right click.  I am able to type into the search bar for my first window but not the address bar, but if I were to open another tab I cannot type into neither the search bar nor the address bar.
