Dear Microsoft,
I dearly love you. I confess I love your operating system. Without it I would probably never have had the enjoyment and work I have had to date.
However,
You see those settings there, yes those ones, yeah the one that says telemetry, I turned them off for a reason. Quick guess why, feel free, the answer should be pretty clear.
Stop effing trying to get more data from people who do not want you to have it! Yes, I know there are options for you turn their data collection to minimum, but, it quite clearly states you will have less usage of certain features. And to those happy for
MS to have your data, great! Good for you.
I, however, just want to use my computer and keep my data to myself.
You see, its not about having anything to hide. Its the principle of it. Its the knowledge that what goes on in my computer is my business. Kind of like a bedroom. You could see how that would feel like an invasion of privacy, no?
LIke i said, I do love Windows. But stop pulling these stunts! And for the love of sanity (what little i have left), stop changing my settings. They are off, or on, for a reason.
Yours,
Danny.
P.S. Oh, and if you wouldnt mind, stop pushing the updates on me, please. If I say I will do it later, I will do it later. I dont need you to keep prodding me. I realise that I need to install updates for the sake of security (heh! Did that word change while
I was away, or?) But I will do it when the PC/Laptop will be idling.
Thanks!
