Hi everyone.

My old but loyal printer Pixma MP190 is correctely identified by W10, but the driver is not. I tried the solutions proposed on this thread : https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows\_10-hardware-winpc/scanner-for-canon-mp190-not-working-on-windows-10/cacab84b-b807-4dc5-b4fb-16da1bad1169

... but nothing works, and the posts are 2 years old. Has someone an idea or experience to share to help me finding a driver who works?

Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem, but just went to the Canon support page and chosed to download the appropriate drivers, telling Canon that I used Win 7 (although I use Win 10), and it works like a charm.

    Hi Alexandre,

Conflicts with the driver's compatibility is one of the possible reasons why you are having issues using your printer. I would suggest that you try installing the driver in compatibility mode. Using compatibility mode provides a simple way to make older drivers work under modern versions of Windows by making the driver believe it is being installed on a supported version of Windows. You can follow the steps in this Forum Article that was provided by Andre Da Costa and go to the section, Using Compatibility Mode to Resolve Driver problems.
