How do i change the version of minecraft in windows 10 edition?

Unfortunately you can't get the Minecraft Windows 10 Edition version to do this, you'll have to get the Java version to commit changes to the version you want to use: https://minecraft.net/en-us/download/

You can also change versions, refer to this article for more, in the process you should see the current version you're using, but in your main menu you should see the version on the bottom right: https://help.mojang.com/customer/portal/article...

Is this the free trial you have? That, or if you've bought Minecraft Windows 10 Edition, it doesn't come with the Java version, but the Java version does come with the Windows 10 version as far as I know, see if you can download it, otherwise you should consider buying access to the Java version or contact Mojang if you'd like to take this matter further: https://minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft/?ref=m

Never mind, it works for me on Java Minecraft, but not Minecraft Windows 10 Edition. You should try it on the other version.
