Try ripping the audio files through Media Player instead of copying directly from disc:
Click the Audio disc in the left pane of the Windows Media Player, then click the Rip CD button at the top of the window.

CDA files are shortcuts on a CD that refer to the hidden wav files on the CD
If you copied the CDA files from a CD, you need to rip that CD to your hard drive using Windows Media Player and that will work . . .
