How to Move Items from "Photos" to Desktop, Flashdrive, Pictures, etc. (Windows 10)

This is driving me crazy. There is a "Photos" feature and there is a "Pictures" feature, but I cannot figure out how to move/copy images from the "Photos" realm to other parts of the computer or onto a flash drive. I select various images in "Photos," but the very few options given to me are "delete," "copy" (this doesn't seem to do anything), "slideshow," "add to album," and "share" (on a cloud, presumably). All I want to do is move or copy an image from the "Photos" realm to another place, such as a flash drive or to a desktop folder, but nothing like this seems available. Left-clicking doesn't help. This is important to me because some crucial pics from trips are visible in the "Photos" zone, and I would like to transfer/copy them to a folder on my hard drive so I can organize them and put them on a flash drive. Alternatively, I can just move the images directly to the flash drive and organize them there, but I'd rather do that work on the desktop. It seems like it should be such a simple to function to accomplish.... How to proceed??  Thanks.

Hi RJMNH,

Open Windows File Explorer (folder icon on your Taskbar)

Navicate to 'This PC' - USB Drive

Open the Photos App

Arrange the windows so you can see both

Then you can simply click and drag Photos from the Photos App into the USB flash drive

That action will copy the photo from the Photos App into the Flash Drive

Thank you for the help.  I did as you said: opened the "Photos" app and the File Explorer/USB Drive and tiled them side by side. The "Photos" app doesn't seem to allow click-n-drag transfer of images, but after some messing around, I realized that the "copy" function attainable via right-clicking (or the app tabs) is actually part of a "copy and paste" process--the tricky part is that this process is not signaled in any way when you click "copy" (as opposed to Picture or Word files, which give you a long list of actual and potential options when you right-click), so you have to be in the know that a subsequent "paste" function is available without seeing any indication of such. But I experimented, right-clicked "copy" on a couple of photos in "Photos," then pasted them into a couple of trial folders on the Desktop and in the USB. So, it worked!  Whew.  Thank you!
