Your instructions sound great, however, we got the Advanced Options option only once. Now it just keeps looping from the initial blue screen that says a problem has been detected and the computer needs to restart, which "it" does for us. Then it does it again, and again, and again. Is there any way to get to safe mode from here so that we can continue with the remaining fix it steps? Thank you. The Raaps
Windows 10 STOP CODE fix.
I have seen a lot of people asking how to fix the Windows Stop Code error.
However, I have not seen many of these questions being answered, or the answers given are in the completely wrong direction resulting in a endless loop of frustration.
So, here we go...Windows Stop Code error FIX!
On restart you will see the blue screen with :( face and it says something like PC has encountered a problem, and needs to be restarted. We will do this for you. Then it restarts, and same thing over and over and over and over.
So...
step 1: Put down the hammer.
step 2: Turn on your PC.
step 3: When you get to the blue screen, you should see an option for advanced system settings or something of that nature. Click there.
step 4: Now, you should see a screen with a list, and a button that says Restart. Click Restart button.
step 5: Wait for system to restart. Then you should see a list of options. You're going to want to select option 4: Enable Safe Mode.
step 6: The system will now boot to safe mode. Enter login and proceed to desktop. Let everything load up completely.
step 7: After you are sure everything is finished loading up, go to start menu, and select Restart.
step 8: The system should reboot in normal operating mode, and will now allow you to login as you normally would on any other day Microsoft doesn't release an update. JK microsoft, you know we love you.
step 9: create a restore point, and backup your stuff.
Good Luck

2018-08-30T12:03:26+00:00 Okay, so I finally got to a place to select Advanced Options and where I could select Enable Safe Mode, but it just went back to the blue screen with the frowning face and keeps the restarting loop again and again and again. Any thoughts? Thank you. Mr. Mrs. Raap

2018-06-23T23:02:28+00:00 I recently had a very bad storm where I live and the dsl cables in the area took a direct and devastating hit by lightning and the internet was down for 3 weeks. In the first days of the loss of internet my acer predator which I was using just to listen to music from the desktop began to reboot itself and show stopcode error :( with the blue screen. I tried all the options to auto fix it in safe mode but nothing worked nor did restore point work. I have not got my files backed up so am naturally reluctant to reset my computer. I finally managed to get a mobile hotspot going but due to this constant loop error I could do nothing until my internet was back up and running and had to use a cable from modem to my machine to link it back to my internet. The ethernet only shows as present when I use the cable connection although I can fix the wifi connection during the time I have the cable attached and then remove it to use my internet but as soon as I reboot the machine I am back to the error loop again until I connect it up to the modem via cable.
I have Killer Network Manager which is not working but when I run diagnostics on internet problems it cannot make any. I am at a loss what to do. I say again I have tried all the auto fixes that appear at the blue screen stage and am beyond those now as they don't work. Please someone help?

Try unplugging the computer from wall, or remove battery if it's a laptop. Then hold down the power button for at least 30 seconds.
Then plug power cord back in to wall, or replace battery. Then try powering computer on, and see if you can get the advanced options to show up. Let me know if it doesn't work.

If that doesn't work, you can also try the hot key for boot option menu during reboot. As soon as reboot occurs, start hitting the hot key for reboot menu to see if it will come up. It varies from one manufacturer to another so it might be the DEL key or ESC key, or F8, F10, F12...just depends. You may see a quick message just after reboot that will tell you which key it is.
