Yes because the Laptop can overheat. I suppose it would not hurt for short amounts of time but longer than 10 minutes or more you are risking over heating the laptop. If you hear you fan running too high, then that is the first sign that the laptop is running too hot. I hope that helps.

A better solution is to purchase an anti-glare strip and attach that to your screen
There are plenty available on the web really cheaply, here is an example of what to look for, in a size appropriate to your laptop:

2018-07-23T23:32:34+00:00 Well, you can your head, but laptop should remained exposed to continue receiving proper airflow and reduce the chances of overworking the fans. Laptops don't really like warm or human environments.
When I'm lazy and want to use my laptop while in bed, what I do is put the laptop on a chair next to my bed. So, I can stay covered and still use the laptop.
